Douglas R. Griess, Esq.

Mr. Griess graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2003 and immediately moved to Denver, Colorado with his family, to be near extended family, and to begin his legal practice as a civil litigator under the tutelage of Robert M. Baldwin of the then firm Baldwin & Brown, PC. As Baldwin & Brown, P.C. became Baldwin & Carpenter, P.C., Mr. Griess honed his core legal skills and learned the intricacies of civil litigation practice and contract analysis working on Insurance Coverage, Insurance Defense, Commercial Litigation, Agency Liability, and Personal Injury matters. In 2007, Mr. Griess moved his practice to Peterson Dymond Reagor, LLP to augment his strong litigation background with experience in Business Law, Copyrights, Trademarks, Real Estate, Non-Profit Law, and related fields.
Mr. Griess opened The Griess Law Firm, LLC in 2010. He represents various individuals and businesses based in Colorado and around the nation in business matters, non-profit matters, transactions, civil and commercial disputes, lease negotiations, contract and deal drafting and review, and in intellectual property issues (copyrights, trade secrets, and trademarks). Industries in which he has specific experience include insurance, web based business, construction, real estate development, independent contractors, and creative professionals.
Mr. Griess thrives and excels in pursing the role of being a trusted adviser. His first priority is always the highest quality legal services and professional value to clients. But more than this, Mr. Griess makes the effort to establish a profound relationship with clients which is centered on integrity, responsiveness, and insight. Mr. Griess is admitted to the Colorado and Tenth Circuit. He is a member of the American Bar Association, including the sections on Business Law and Intellectual Property, the Colorado Bar Association, and the Denver Bar Association.
